Watch This Inspiring Message by Elder Holland about Why We Should Hope

by | Apr. 16, 2020

A new video by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shares a message of hope by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

Testifying of the Restoration and revelation, Elder Holland originally gave the address, “A Perfect Brightness of Hope,” during the Sunday morning session of April 2020 general conference.

“Because the Restoration reaffirmed the foundational truth that God does work in this world, we can hope, we should hope, even when facing the most insurmountable odds,” he said. “The future is going to be as miracle-filled and bountifully blessed as the past has been.”

The video, posted earlier this morning, currently has over 154,000 views and more than 260 comments on the Church’s Instagram account, as well as more than 65,700 views and over 2,300 shares on its Facebook account. Posted with the #HearHim hashtag, it also serves as a reminder to listen to the Savior in our own lives and to share our experiences with others.

“God still speaks today, and the joyful call remains to hear Him,” the Church’s Hear Him website reads. “As you listen to Jesus Christ, you will feel His love for you. As you #HearHim and act on what you hear, you will feel the joy and fulfillment His words bring to all who seek Him.”

Elder Holland also spoke during his general conference address on how revelation is very much a part of the Church of Jesus Christ today.

“We have every reason to hope for blessings even greater than those we have already received because this is the work of Almighty God, this is the Church of continuing revelation, this is the gospel of Christ’s unlimited grace and benevolence.”
