Watch: What will we remember about 2020? The Church’s World Report gives us some idea

by | Sep. 30, 2020

What has the year 2020 meant thus far for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? Like all people everywhere, Latter-day Saints have dealt with the unforeseen and unexpected challenges of a pandemic. But what does that mean for the Church on a general level? Family sacrament meetings held in living rooms, missionaries accepting rapid reassignments and calls back home, and massive service projects like the creation of thousands of homemade face masks, to name a few things.

But for members of the Church, 2020 is not just the year of a pandemic and all its consequences—2020 is the bicentennial anniversary of Joseph Smith’s First Vision. Furthermore, we will remember 2020 as a year where we were invited to “hear Him,” and we likely needed to “hear Him” now more than ever.
