What the Power of Weakness Taught Me About the Dangers of Perfectionism

In the Church, we often struggle with the idea of perfection. The Savior's command to "be ye therefore perfect" is a tall order. And in the age of Instagram and Pinterest—where everything is cropped and photoshopped to "perfection"—it might seem like perfection is far beyond our grasp.

During the 2017 October General Conference, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland gave a wonderful talk on perfection and how following the Savior is the only way to achieve perfection. Elder Holland further emphasized that in mortality our perfection is “pending.”

I recently had the opportunity to interview Monica Packer, the LDS host of the podcast "About Progress." During that interview, Monica talked about her struggle with perfectionism and then made a pretty bold declaration. Watch the video below to learn more.
