July Sharing Time: Temples of the Lord

LDS Living - T his sharing time will engage the children in an activity geared to increase their understanding of the Lord's temples. Preparation: Create a simple, poster-sized dot-to-dot of the Salt Lake Temple by lightly sketching in pencil a square topped with three inverted triangles. Make the center triangle taller than the other two (see drawing.) Add dots and numbers with a black marker at each corner. Erase the pencil lines. If you wish you can add a few details with the marker, such as a door and a few windows. We filled out applications and were sent to the David M. Kennedy Center at Brigham Young University, which then sent them to the Chinese University. The Church is not allowed to have proselyting missionaries in mainland China, but the Chinese universities seek as many English teachers as they can get through BYU.
