In January, Business of Fashion called Lucky Blue Smith "Insta-famous" with 285,000 followers on Instagram.

At 500,000 followers, Teen Vogue said he was "the male model of the moment."

Then in March, when that number had ballooned to 800,000, Yahoo! Beauty reported that Lucky Blue Smith was "taking the world by storm." New York Post called him "a rising star in the industry."

Today, just over a month later, he has more than 1 million followers.

Smith's meteoric rise to fame came just after the 16-year-old from Spanish Fork, Utah, made his debut at Fashion Week, where he walked for 12 different brands. He's also been in campaigns for Levi's, Adidas, GAP, Tommy Hilfiger, and other big-name brands.

But don't think the fame is about to go to his head. Speaking to his values, Smith told Business of Fashion, “I don’t want to be one of those kids who gets famous and then changes and becomes cocky." In fact, as of February, Be reports that he and his family of six still lived in a humble two-bedroom apartment.

Smith is also known for his plans to follow the rules and live the law of chastity--a tough choice to stick up for given his profession.

Learn more about how he got into modeling from his adorably awkward and squeaky-clean replies while on The Ellen Show last month:
