My husband would disagree. After all, our first marital fight was over the proper way to cook an omelet. We'd been married a week, living happily in a spider-infested basement apartment. Trying to impress my new hubby, I arose early Saturday morning to make him one of his favorite dishes. Just as I was pouring the chopped veggies into the egg mixture, a backseat chef spoke up.
Which came first — the chicken or the egg? I say it's the vegetables. When making an omelet you add the chopped vegetables to the beaten egg mixture before pouring it over a heated skillet. Cover and cook until veggies are just tender, sprinkle cheese, then fold it over and serve. Walla!
