Adam London was born and raised in a small farming community just outside of Ogden City, Utah. Adam became interested in magic and theatre at a very young age. Like many in the magic community, he started in magic because of the tricks of another. Watching his grandfather, a bit of an amateur magician, working with cards and restoring toothpicks and silverware was how Adam became fascinated by the art. Adam performed at Cub Scout and church events all throughout Northern Utah into his teenage years.

When he was on his mission in South Africa, Adam continued to gain opportunities to practice his magic. Adam and his mission companions would perform community magic shows for children so that they could get parents to hear their lessons. Being on a mission and being able to use magic to inspire people was when Adam fell in love with using his talents as a tool for service.

After his mission, Adam moved to Las Vegas to pursue his lifelong dream of having his own magic show. Las Vegas is known for its live shows and entertainment but Adam wanted to be able to provide a show that all ages would enjoy. While he pursued his degree from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Adam performed in various comedy clubs which led to him getting recognition and an offer to perform Laughternoon at the D Las Vegas.

“It has been an interesting journey as an LDS performer in a place that’s known as ‘Sin City’,” said Adam. “I thought that I would have more of an issue trying to fill the showroom but it’s been easier than I expected. It’s a true testament that people like to see things that are good, wholesome and fun.”

Throughout his time as a performer in Las Vegas, he has been heavily involved in the school district. He’s been an advocate and a sponsor for different reading programs at schools in the Las Vegas Valley. Adam also goes on a library tour around Clark County every summer where he does a free show.

As his years with Laughternoon at the D Las Vegas tallied up, Adam had a yearning to use his platform as an entertainer for even more. He noticed that in Las Vegas’ entertainment industry, the people with the most influence were not using it for the community’s maximum benefit. He realized there was a void in service that could be provided by these key players. From this realization came Laughternoon’s 2018 charity campaign.

The charity campaign launched in January 2018, on Adam’s five year anniversary of Laughternoon. The premise of the campaign is that on the second Saturday of each month of 2018, all proceeds from Laughternoon ticket sales will go back to a charity in the Las Vegas community. All of Laughternoon’s charitable partners are organizations that strive to better the lives of children and families. The charity lineup is and has been as follows:

January 13 - Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation
February 10 - Children’s Heart Foundation
March 10 - Brookman Elementary School
April 14 - Olive Crest
May 12 - Ronald McDonald House Charities
June 9 - Somerset Academy Foundation of Las Vegas
July 14 - Goodwill of Southern Nevada
August 11 - Chefs for Kids
September 8 - Three Square
October 13 - Shade Tree / Noah’s Animal House
November 10 - Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth
December 8 - Speedway Children’s Charities

London hopes to continue using his platform to entertain audiences with comedy and magic without sacrificing the integrity of his show. Laughternoon is a solid choice for families traveling to Las Vegas that want to experience a family-friendly show in the historic Downtown Las Vegas.

Adam London’s Laughternoon is daily at 4 p.m. inside The Showroom at the D Las Vegas. Tickets for Laughternoon start at $19.95++. Presto Magic tickets, VIP tickets, and regular tickets can be purchased online, at the D Las Vegas Box Office or by phone at 702-388-2111.
