Being one who got heavily involved into Satanism, I understand full well the sutle ways of witchcraft and how it creeps into the minds of those who enjoy Harry Potter or any other suttle witchcraft books or movies. Go ahead you easy going LDS members and remain facinated with these types of stories. Then we will see how firm you remain in the steadfastness of the gospel and hold on to the iron rod. There are many suttle objects that are in this movie and I read the Satanic bible front to back and it takes immediate hold on your mind and soul. So I say, "Good luck staying firm in the gospel reading these books". For the spirits that are the servents of Satan are in your bodies and household.

@gospel@itsfullness: Seriously. Ever heard of "using your imagination?" It doesn't mean that everyone goes out and dresses and acts like this everyday!

Wow gospel@itsfullness I understand that we all have weaknesses and you have shared yours but that does not give the right to anyone to ride anyone else for our own failings. Even members of the 12 have read and enjoy the HP books, this you can look up yourself. I'm sorry you were easily lead and appreciate your concern but attacking is not the way to win people and influence them. I know the Church is true even if I enjoy Harry Potter on the side. I've even been known to watch I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched on occasion. I've also read Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. When does one witchcraft and sorcery book or show become acceptable over another. Its in the mind and heart of the reader/watcher that's when. We are all on our own path to righteousness and at different levels of understanding. I pray we will all make it.

Some people are more easily "lead" than others. I have to say, I agree with sherilsl; I have read all those same books and/or watched those movies/shows. I grew up with the likes of Mary Poppins and not once did I try to jump off a roof while holding an opened umbrella. Does anyone remember when the first HP book and then movie came out, certain Christian churches got together and burned copies of the book? Really, there is such a thing as going overboard. I know a lot of HP fans, of all ages, and I don't know a single one who has started practicing witchcraft! By the way, I say the final movie this morning at 8:30. Loved it. Some changes from the book, of course, (just like the other movies) but not enough to complain about.

Right or wrong in the mixed reviews of HP. I'm, all for him and boy, what escapism. This is the idea; a journey to another realm through the wonderful medium of books. Help! These stories were not meant to be taken seriously and the pedagogic attitude taken by some co-called protectors of our morals, needs a major rethink. I bet Grimm and Mother Goose got the same reception with their stories. Thank goodness all of this has been overwritten by the popularity of young Mr Potter and Co. Oh! in case I forgot. Well done BYU, a good parody - and what a great virtual tour of a snowy (none where I live) BYU campus. I'm gonna run it again. Who's the singer and is the song recorded yet?

Goes to show my statement is correct. For you Prob, imagination killed the cat! For you Sherilsl, were you in the room when the "12" read the book? LOL! I hardly doubt the 12 got together at the table and read Harry Potter. What a joke. Some people are more easily lead than others treblemaker? There are many symbols in Harry Potter that are duplicated from the Satanic bible. I was just giving the heads up on the author putting those things in there. She knows she does and has deliberatly put them in. The lightning bolt on Harrys forehead is the Satanic symbol that he will serve him. Put one on your forehead and see if your mind is the same You all already show signs of what the Savior said about a nation of witchcraft. First it comes subtle, then it comes asa rational response. So what if B.Y.U. encourages the book. They are part liberal anyway. And personally I do not care if you read the book. That is why the Lord said many are called and few are chosen. Guess you will not make it after all.

Don't feel gospel@itsfullness. These people, these Mormons are lost, keep up the good work in exposing these books for the trash they are. :)

@ gospel@itsfullness- WOW!!! Your condescending self righteous tone is so strong I am almost wondering if you are being sarcastic. Perhaps an attempt at satire making those who really feel what your words convey look as silly as they really are? I hope so. If that's the case, Jonathan Swift would be proud. If not, perhaps a step back to gain some perspective would be in order. Whether you have personal insight into witchcraft is really not important. The books and movies are portrayed as fictional and there have been no claims from the author that any of the story is real or could be real. If we adopted your extreme views, things like the tooth fairy would be deemed evil. It's no wonder many people think Mormons are whack jobs.

WOW! haven't you people ever heard of "fiction?" Lets all get together and burn every fiction and sci fi book out there! That will solve everything. Then we all will go to heaven! So gospel@itfullness, do you refuse to read The chronicals of Narnia since CS Lewis wrote thoes books to teach children about the Savior? If you are so satanic, than you would refuse to read them because you would be afraid to learn something about Jesus Christ. The same principle applies here. It is a story. You are not going to convince anyone here to join your religion. You shared your oppinion, fine. Now go away and let everyone else have theirs.

gsdlover, I am sure gospel@itsfullness would have no problem reading the CHRONICLES of Narnia as it doesn't contain witchcraft and satanism. And if it does, it is being practiced by evil people and not celebrated. Harry Potter books do have veiled Satanism and Witchcraft in them. You are using many logical fallacies in your argument. The Bible and Book of Mormon both preach against witchcraft. Go ahead and justify your behavior.

All this video is doing is showing how stupid it is that people actually belive that reading harry potter is going to make people convert to witchcraft. My bishop and stake president have read Harry Potter and have enjoyed them. I don't know about the 12, but I know that I enjoy reading the books and watching the movies. I know the church is true and I try to do what I am suppost to do. I read my scriptures and prey often. I really think that if I do as much as I can to have the Holy Ghost with me, he would let me know if I am not suppost to be reading Harry Potter. He has warned me against lots of other things, but not Harry Potter. That is just my personal experiance and point of view. You all made your choice not to read harry potter. Fine. I really don't think ready Harry Potter is going to keep me from the Celestial Kingdom.

As a convert to the church who was Wiccan before becoming a member I would like to say there is a big difference between HP and the real world of witchcraft. I read books like this my whole life, and was never persuaded by them. It was not until I became convinced Christianity was false did I start looking into Pagan beliefs. Thankfully I found the one true church which I had no previous knowledge of. Real Witchcraft is not about flying brooms or any of that other junk. Those are myths propagated by the early catholic church as a means to convert or punish the pagans of northern Europe. That being said the is a real danger in getting involved with anything of the real witchcraft witch HP is not.
