Donny posted some exciting news to his Facebook page recently; he and Marie are going to become wax figures featured in the Madame Tussauds celebrity wax museum in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In an extensive process that took over three hours and 300 measurements per person, Donny and Marie recently sat for the Madame Tussauds studio team. Now it's time for the team to begin the meticulous process of sculpting, adding each hair one by one, fitting eyes and teeth, and painting to begin--all steps that are done entirely by hand.
It's no wonder the sculptures aren't set to be finished until 2016, which will make the brother and sister duo the first celebrities to be added to the museum next year.
Check out these pictures of the measuring process that Marie posted to her Instagram account.
#Repost @tussaudsvegas with @repostapp. ・・・ We had so much fun with @donnyosmond and @therealmarieosmond at their sitting. Over 600 measurements and 7 hours later, we were all pretty exhausted. We can't wait to see the completed figures! #donnyandmarie #vegas #madametussauds #lasvegas #waxfigures #tussaudsvegas
