Houston Chronicle: Who LDS Charities is and what they do

Many of my best childhood memories were with my Grandmother Hansen. Though she passed away a few years ago, she left a legacy of service for me and her posterity. When she wasn’t serving others, she was practicing hymns on her 100-year-old piano. The dark-wooded upright was ornately carved and was her most prized possession because it had belonged to her mother. The LDS hymn, Because I Have Been Given Much, is one that has always reminded me of Grandma because she played it often when I was young and revealed to me once that it was her favorite.
