It's Official. 2 Latter-day Saints Made the "Masked Singer" Finale

by | Feb. 27, 2019

After T-Pain (A.K.A. the Monster) took the crown in Fox's first season of the Masked Singer, Donny Osmond (A.K.A. the Peacock) snagged second place and Gladys Knight (A.K.A. the Bee) came in a close third place.

And Latter-day Saints across the internet are not surprised. An Angel Moroni and other clues pointed to the two iconic Latter-day Saint singers.

They are also not surprised that these two performing powerhouses made it to the show's finale.

Having performed with their family members from an early age, Knight and Osmond have music careers that span half a century—and both are faithful members of the Church who use their talents to spread light.

With 12 undercover celebrities singing dressed as monsters, rabbits, poodles, and more, Fox's The Masked Singer has caught the public's attention with its mix of bizarre, fame, and mystery.

Osmond's identity was practically confirmed earlier this month, when viewers caught a glimpse of the Peacock outside the show, with an angel Moroni perched on the desk next to the masked singer.

Earlier in the show, Donny Osmond had also said that his face has been tattooed on someone's body. It didn't take long for fans around the internet to discover this picture:

Then, there was also the moment the Peacock twirled onstage with a rainbow cape, a tribute to the coat of many colors from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat—one of Osmond's most famous roles. If that wasn't enough, he also brought the wig from Joseph on to the show as a clue.

Knight, on the other hand, let it slip that she has won 10 Grammys, and it didn't take long for fans to do the math.

The Bee mentioned on the show that she might be Queen Bee, but people better know her as the Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight's popular title.

From singing at the Church's historic celebration of the priesthood revelation to singing at the Super Bowl to performing on the Masked Singer, Gladys Knight has had a full year. We can't wait to see what she and Donny Osmond do next!
