LDS Church serves Tennessee C.A.R.E.S.

Gallatin C.A.R.E.S. received "helping hands" from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) on Sept. 10 as more than 60 members of the Gallatin LDS congregation gathered to participate in their third-annual Day of Service. The group included young women and men, singles, married couples and entire families. They were joined by members of Boy Scout Troop 488.

Members of the congregation participated in various projects, including clearing landscaping on the outside of the building and sorting donated clothing and other items, washing windows, organizing the pantry and donating and installing a washer and dryer for the homeless. The store received a thorough cleaning as well.
