This 20-30 minute spotlight tour will discuss Joseph Smith’s 1844 campaign for President of the United States. Joseph Smith’s campaign platform will be explained in relation to those of the other candidates.

James Taylor to Perform with Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Five-time Grammy Award-winning artist James Taylor will perform with the Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony at the Conference Center for the 30th anniversary of the Tanner Gift of Music concert series. James Taylor’s music embodies the art of songwriting in its most personal and universal form. In a career spanning four decades, he is immediately recognizable for his warm baritone, introspective lyrics, and unique guitar playing.

Elder Nelson to Speak at September CES Devotional

September 8, Laie, Hawaii

Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will address young adults—single and married—in a CES Devotional broadcast originating from the campus of BYU–Hawaii in Laie, on Sunday, September 8, 2013. The devotional will be broadcast at 6:00 p.m. mountain time, and live audio and video broadcasts will be available at mormonchannel.org.
