Ariel Pearse, one of 13 finalists in the 2016 Miss World New Zealand pageant held over the weekend, made the top six and was crowned Miss New Zealand Tourism International.

“Thanks for all your support, everyone,” she said after the event, when swarmed by her supporters.
"I am having a hard time taking in all this love!”
She will represent New Zealand in the Miss Tourism International pageant in Malaysia toward the end of the year.
