MR says: Phenom MLB player Bryce Harper is LDS; his response to the beer question was brilliant.

Nineteen-year-old baseball phenom Bryce Harper isn’t known for drawing attention to his faith – he’s kinda the anti-Tim Tebow in that way – but he didn’t hide his dismay Tuesday when thrown a question that intersected squarely with his Mormonism.

A Toronto reporter asked Harper, a Washington Nationals outfielder, whether he’d have a beer to celebrate a whopper of a home run and the Nationals’ win against the Blue Jays, taking advantage of Ontario’s lower drinking age.

Harper’s response: “That’s a clown question, bro.” The quip quickly blew up on the Internet.

The kid is bating over 300 on a team that is doing pretty well and the sports reporter doesn't know he is Mormon? bull. The reporter was trying something and got called on it. Good job Bryce!

It is a clown question. Only a clown would want to goof off with beer, anyway. It's amazing how crazed people get over their alcohol consumption. How dare anyone refrain from partaking. You can even be lambasted on Christian blogs if you dare to suggest that drinking beer is not something that pleases the Lord. That's because people would rather please themselves at whatever the cost.
