Obama appoints first Mormon to presidential advisory council

MR says: The faith-based office is made up of leaders of religions from across our great country, and Elder Snow's appointment ensures that the LDS faith will have a seat at the table.

Elder Steven E. Snow of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been appointed to the President's Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, according to a press release issued today by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah.

Glad to see an LDS on the President's council. That will do more good in getting acquainted with their religions and helping them know who we really are.
