2 LDS Sister Missionaries Attacked in Kosovo, Suspects Arrested

Two LDS sister missionaries serving in Pristina, Kosovo were attacked last week by two men who were later arrested as part of a group of suspected terrorists. “We can confirm two sister missionaries were beaten in Kosovo and have been moved out of the area," said Cody Craynor, spokesman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "Gratefully they are making a full recovery."

The two were part of a group of ethnic Albanians suspected of plotting a terrorist attack inspired by extreme Islamist ideology. Officials announced yesterday that six of the men had been arrested. A seventh remains at large.
