With the growing number of temples, it can be easy to lose sight of the incredible milestones happening around the world.

There have been three temple dedications already this year in Kenya, New Zealand, and Canada, and there are seven more currently scheduled in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), the United States, Chile, and Argentina.

With 382 temples operating, under construction, or announced, here are six exciting temple stats you may not have noticed.

1) Brazil and Mexico will have more than 20 temples.

2) Canada, Peru, and the Philippines Will Have 10 or More Temples

3) Eleven US States Will Have 4 or More Temples

4) Seven US States Will Have 5 or More Temples

These include Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, Texas, Utah, and Washington (see table above).

5) Utah Will Have 32 Temples

These include temples in operation, under renovation, under construction, announced, or opening soon (see table above). Next month, the Syracuse Utah Temple will be the 22nd temple dedicated in Utah.

6) President Nelson Has Announced 200 Temples

Since becoming the prophet in 2018, President Russell M. Nelson has announced 200 temples. This number represents 52.4% of all temples in operation, under renovation, announced, or opening soon.

In 2022 and 2023, President Nelson announced 35 temples—the most he has announced in a calendar year. Since 2021, he has announced over 30 temples each year.
