BYU photographer wins national 'Photographer of the Year', becomes winningest university photographer

The 51st Sympsosium of the University Photographer’s Association of America just concluded and BYU’s Mark Philbrick was named the 2012 National Photographer of the Year. This is Mark’s 7th POY Award, making him the winningest photographer in the history of the UPAA. Mark also placed 4 prints in the Annual Print Competition, which includes a Best of Show honor for his photo from the BYU Women’s Gymnastics Poster Shoot. Additionally, Mark took 2nd place in the Monthly Image Competition for the 2011-12 year.
