California stake eager to help new military moms

Helping military mothers is essential work for the Vista Stake Relief Society ---- especially in a military community.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a long history of community involvement, and the local Vista Stake Relief Society assists programs in Vista, Bonsall and Fallbrook. Programs include Operation Hope, Solutions for Change, the Fallbrook Food Pantry ---- and MOMs 1st Baby Care Package. Vista, Fallbrook and Bonsall wards comprising the Vista stake are assisting the MOMs 1st Baby Care Package program.

"We want to serve our community, and these young mothers are very much a part of our community," said Leigh Braithwaite, a Fallbrook resident who is Vista Stake Humanitarian Leader, in a statement.
