Can you guess which 5 countries have the most members of the Church? New graphic shows worldwide membership

A new graphic from Church News labels the 30 countries with the most members of the Church. According to the Church's 2020 statistics, there are 16,663,663 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the world in 31,136 congregations.

The top five countries are:

  1. United States
  2. Mexico
  3. Brazil
  4. Philippines
  5. Peru

The last country on the list is Tonga with 66,361 members, but don't let its place on the list fool you—over sixty-three percentof Tonga's population are members of the Church.

To break it down by continent, 8 countries in North America made the list, 10 of South America’s 14 total countries are listed, as well as four countries in Africa, four from Oceania, three in Asia, and one in Europe.
