Makelle, an 18-year-old with a congenital liver disorder, had a dream come true when her biggest idol, David Archuleta, performed a private concert for her at the Gateway in Salt Lake City, Utah. Accompanied by some of her closest friends and family, Makelle said the experience was the best day of her life.

This exhilarating, once-in-a-lifetime event was made possible by Make a Wish foundation, a charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. According to their website, every 28 minutes, a new wish is granted for a child in the United States, helping to provide these children, their families, and their entire community with hope and the strength to keep fighting.
