Remarkable Family History Moment: The Spirit Told Me, “Go Back”

by | Oct. 09, 2015

MR says: How a small spiritual prompting led a young Latter-day Saint to find a long-forgotten, hidden, and incredible testimony of one of their ancestors.

On May 31, my family was running late getting to church. I had to teach my 5-year-old CTR Primary class that day, and I needed to get to the classroom to set up. As I headed toward the classroom I passed by a long table in the hallway with a sign that read, “FREE STUFF.” The ward library was giving away lots of things, including scriptures. I rushed past the table and to the door of my classroom.

That was when the Spirit said to me, “Stop. Pick up those copies of the Book of Mormon!”

“I’m in a hurry,” I told myself.

The Spirit said again, “Go back and get those copies of the Book of Mormon!”
