Ben Behunin
Ben Behunin a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. Ben has always been a bit of an artist, doodling in the margins of papers, making mud pies, carving wood and making sculpture out of discarded goods. In 1988 as a freshman in high school, he enrolled in his first formal art class. “Once my hands hit the clay, I knew I had found something in which I wanted to excel. After serving a mission in Germany I spent time in that country serving a potter's apprenticeship with an artist friend I had met during my time there. I continued my art studies in Hawaii and in Utah and married the girl of my dreams. Then dove into my art full-time and opened my own studio.”

Michael Bedard
Michael Bedard spends his time in Nauvoo and in Saint George, Utah. These are perfect locations to paint the restoration of the gospel because of their rich church history, cradled in the faith, toil and sacrifices of the early saints.
“ I have a passion for light and authenticity of a subject. Before I take on a new painting I do extensive research to create a good foundation. Each time I aim for a masterpiece.”
Howard Lyon
Howard Lyon was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, where he now resides with his wife and three children.
Over the past 15 years he has worked in the video game industry as an Art Director, concept artist and freelance illustrator. For much of his career he has painted dragons and trolls or scenes from science fiction. He has studied art in Italy, France, and most recently at the Grand Central Academy in New York. He has combined these experiences to expand his subject matter to create inspirational pieces in the style of some of his favorite old masters: William Bouguereau, Lawrence Alma-Tadema, and John William Waterhouse.

Julie Rogers
Julie Rogers known for her vibrant colors and impressionistic style, masterfully executes pastels, watercolors and oil paintings. Julie has painted over 85 images of pioneers. “I love to record the simple things people do each day and capture the emotion of the moment. I only pray that as an artist, I may stir the heart of the viewer to a heightened sense of peace and joy.”
Jolene Allphine
Author Jolene Allphin researched pioneer stories while encouraging Julie to paint them. Tell My Story, Too by Jolene S. Allphin, is a collection of 258 biographical sketches of pioneers and rescuers of the Willie, Martin, Hodgett and Hunt Companies of 1856.

Robert Boyd
Award winning photographer Robert A. Boyd opened his photography studio in 1995. He soon found himself photographing clients all around the world. Having already won numerous other awards including the coveted Kodak Gallery Award, Fuji Masterpiece Awards, and many more, Robert received the 2004 Gold Level Photographer of the Year Award from the Professional Photographers of America. Having reached the top in portrait photography Robert stopped competing and turned his focus to his real love of Fine Art photography.
Robert is also renown for his knowledge and expertise in giclee printing and is a sought after consultant for other artists. Currently, Robert is focused on expanding his portfolio and spending time with his wife Eleah and their 5 children. While on site for Lunch and Learn, Bob will share his stunning Temple images. His prints can range from a 5 x 5 inch framed giclee to a 10 foot mural!

Kevin Clawson Fireside: The Poor Among Us
What is the gospel charge to help the poor, who are the poor, and what can an ordinary person do to make a difference? Brother Clawson, founder of Reach the Children humanitarian project will give us concrete ideas about what ordinary Americans can do to make a difference in the world. This presentation is in keeping with the theme of the “Love Thy Neighbor” Exhibit which will be at the Visitors’ Center through October.

125th Anniversary Celebration for LDS Business College

Friends of LDS Business College are invited to attend a “Neighborhood Celebration” party in Downtown Salt Lake, on the plaza south of the college at 95 North 300 West, to celebrate 125 years of LDSBC. The party will open with an official cake cutting, and feature party treats, entertainment, displays, games, and prizes. At about 12:30, 1,000 ping pong balls will be tossed from the roof of the 10-story building with 125 marked for prizes.
