For the past 15 years Ben has been making his living exclusively as a potter. He is also the writer of The Niederbipp Trilogy and the father of two budding potters. He and his wife Lynette live in SLC, just inches away from Ben’s whimsically magical studio, Wild Rooster Artworks.

Cortney C. Lunt
Painting is just a part of who Cortney, so her usual daily routine consists of kids, housework, and painting. Through the years she has painted mostly with watercolors, and is most well known for her LDS temple paintings.

Having reached the top in portrait photography, Robert's focus is now his real love of Fine Art photography. Robert is focused on expanding his portfolio and spending time with his wife Eleah and their 5 children.

Two Fine Talents!
Stan Watts, Artist, Sculptor and Bronze Foundry Owner, Stan has done many LDS - themed bronze sculptures. Today, world renowned sculptor will join painter Annie Henrie who graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from BYU. She has shown her work in galleries since the age of 16. Born in Manhattan, New York, Annie is the daughter of Cary and Sauni Henrie. Cary Henrie, a well known illustrator and fine artist.

Brian Kershisnik
Allowing for inspiration in the form of a peculiar hunch, Brian Kershisnik welcomes the influence of children, artistic greats and cave paintings in his oil on paper and panel works. Purposely avoiding following one rigid technique, Kershisnik allows for experimentation and inspiration to guide his open-ended images. He contends that the purpose of his art is to facilitate the understanding of what it means to be human - the awkward discoveries, happy encounters, deep sorrows and immense joys.

Julie Rogers
Julie is known for her vibrant colors and impressionistic style, masterfully executes pastels, watercolors and oil paintings. “I love to record the simple things people do each day and capture the emotion of the moment. I only pray that as an artist, I may stir the heart of the viewer to a heightened sense of peace and joy.”

Mary Summerhays
“Although I grew up right outside of Chicago Illinois, the desert has always been my home. As a teenager I studied Utah’s great Impressionist tradition with Lorrand Folland. More recently I have studied with J. Kirk Richards, Robert Barrett, Justin Taylor, and Greg Newbold. I have had the fun of illustrating for BYUtv and for the Joseph and Lucy Mack Smith Family foundation and Joseph F. Smith Family Outreach Committee. Although my watercolors have achieved a lot of acclaim for their unique impressionistic beauty, my heart aches to express the metaphor of life. In particular I work to portray our common human need for relationships.”

This year’s open house features Latter-day Saint cultural events and celebrations. Artifacts, photographs, and programs from July 24th celebrations, Gold and Green Balls, the Hill Cumorah Pageant, and other Church festivals are highlighted. Admission is free. Items from the 1964 New York World’s Fair, the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games, and the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games are also on display, and the history of Church sports—principally baseball and basketball—are also showcased. The exhibit will extend its hours to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24 and Friday, March 30. Saturday, March 31 hours are 12:00-2:00 p.m. and 4:00-9:00 p.m.

The Garden, written by Michael McLean and Bryce Neubert, is an allegorical oratorio of Gethsemane, a musical tribute to the Savior and the consequences of his atoning sacrifice. Before the first branch for the deaf was organized in 1917 in Ogden, Utah, deaf Latter-day Saints maintained strong faith in the gospel, despite little or no opportunity to magnify their Church membership. Little-known first-person accounts from these Latter-day Saints, as well as reported accounts, record their declarations of faith and will be presented by Anne Leahy. Admission is free. First Annual Church International Art Competition for Youth

For several years The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has held a general International Art Competition. This year, the Church invites youth in particular to submit their work to the first-ever competition for youth. The winning pieces will be on display between November 16, 2012, until June 17, 2013. 7th Annual "America, Home Sweet Home" Concert
April 28-29, 7 p.m.The 50-voice Sugar Hill LDS Choir of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be joined by the 55-member Gwinnett Community Band for their seventh annual FREE, two-day community concert themed “America, Home Sweet Home.” In addition to paying tribute to the armed forces, the evening will include a variety of musical favorites from Broadway to patriotic to folk songs.
