New Zealand rugby player Paul Lasike has signed a free agent deal to join the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL.
Lasike, who was born in Auckland, entered the 2015 NFL draft after three years playing as a fullback for the Brigham Young University Cougars.
The 24-year-old attended Northland College and, more recently, Church College near Hamilton before leaving for the United States, and was set to try out for the Alanta Falcons but got the call to join the Cardinals on their 90-man roster yesterday.
