LDS Living

The book told the story of how the love of those around him, including his immediate family, brought him back to the gospel of Jesus Christ after spending two decades away from the Church. In his new book, A Better Heart , Christofferson explores Christlike love in greater depth, but in both books there is one standout character: his mother. Christofferson told LDS Living about a family meeting the Christoffersons had a couple...

Newsroom of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- In a letter to leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States and Canada, President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, encouraged leaders to look for ways to reconnect with youth in 2021 through local ward or stake youth conferences and Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood camps. The For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences (gatherings of teenagers from dozens of congregations) are postponed in the United States and Canada until 2022. Congregational leaders should hold youth conferences and camps on a smaller (and, if need be, virtual) scale...

What I learned about the limitless power of the Spirit during my virtual vacation to Church historic sites
Lindsey Williams
- Editor's note: Our bi-weekly Friday column, “ Found in the footnotes ,” explores some of the footnotes from remarks given by General Authorities and General Officers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I logged into Zoom for a virtual tour of Carthage Jail in late September. Just a month and a half prior, I had published a list of Church historic sites offering virtual tours during the COVID-19 pandemic. Shortly thereafter, I booked virtual tours at several places for myself. I jokingly named it my “Virtual Vacation.” When I joined...
