Mormon Missionary Critically Injured in Idaho Car Crash

An LDS missionary from California remained hospitalized on life support Wednesday with injuries he suffered in a car crash Tuesday. He is not expected to survive, a church spokeswoman said.

Idaho State Police responded to a two-car crash just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. John Floyd, 20, of Deep Run, N.C., was driving with his companion Taylor Shane Ward, 19, of Vacaville, Calif., in a vehicle on state Route 39. Floyd failed to yield at a stop sign located where the highway intersects with 100 South in Bingham County, police said.
