The year 2020 brought more uncertainty and turmoil than any of us could have imagined. The Apostle Paul foretold that in the latter days we would live in “perilous times” (2 Timothy 3:1). Yet the Savior instructed His followers to “doubt not, fear not” (D&C 6:36). So how are we supposed to move forward in faith and focus on the good—even find miracles—when it feels like rage, calamity, and commotion are the status quo?

In this timely book—appropriately titled Be Not Troubled—Elder Ronald A. Rasband shares a beautiful message of hope and light, reminding us what we can do to fortify ourselves and receive heavenly guidance. As Elder Rasband teaches, “By divine design, we have been called to the Lord’s service leading up to His Second Coming.” His apostolic counsel helps us recognize ways the Lord guides us through the most troubled times in our lives to build a greater sense of hope and peace. With our foundation fixed on Christ, ultimately we can accept the Savior’s invitation to “be not troubled” (D&C 45:35).

In the midst of so much fear and unrest, strengthen your own faith or help a loved one rekindle theirs this holiday season. Be Not Troubled is available now at Deseret Book stores, DeseretBook.com and as an e-book or audiobook through the Deseret Bookshelf mobile app.
