SPONSORED: With 'EDGE,' SUU equips students for success through hands-on experiences

One of the many ways Southern Utah University provides a unique educational experience in Cedar City is through the EDGE program: Education Designed to Give Experience.

EDGE provides a formal opportunity for you to shape your own learning experience through a hands-on project focused on your individual interests and aspirations.

You get to decide what you will do and how it will enhance the things you are learning by either connecting your project to your major or using EDGE to pursue an additional area of interest. These hands-on learning opportunities all run through SUU’s Engagement Centers: the Community Engagement Center, the Creativity Center, the Harry Reid Center for Outdoor Engagement, the Leadership Engagement Center and the Sargon Heinrich Global Engagement Center. These centers will help you further tailor your academic course toward your unique interests and aspirations.

Through the EDGE program—a requirement for all undergraduate students—you will leave SUU with meaningful real world experiences in addition to your degree, giving you an edge over the competition as you seek out employment or a graduate education.

SUU is proud to offer personalized attention in smaller classes where professors have time to get to know and mentor their students. With SUU’s EDGE, you will learn more, you will do more, and you will experience more.
