I was 12 years old. The place: Disneyland’s Blue Bayou. The dish: a Monte Cristo sandwich. It was the first time I realized there is more to food than filling your stomach; it’s about the experience.

Monte Cristo from Blue Bayou.
I didn’t even know what I was ordering but I have literally been dreaming of that sandwich for the past 12 years. Seriously. I went to Disneyland again last week and I was finally able to eat it again, and it tasted like liquid gold (and that’s about how much it cost!).
That Monte Cristo sandwich is the hands down the best thing I’ve ever eaten. But there are a few other foods at Disneyland that could rival it.

Turkey leg from Edelweiss Snacks.
Is it just me or does Disney know how to cook amazing food, or what? Have you seen the turkey legs? How un-American would I have been if I didn’t get one of those fatty, juicy, delicious pieces of meat?

Ice cream from Paradise Pier.
And the ice cream. That stuff must be made out of 1% ice, 99% cream. I got a cavity just looking at it. Totally worth every calorie.
Here are a few more yummy pics to drool over. What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten? Leave a comment below.
