Michael and Shawna have been married for 35 years, having met while pursuing their educations at Utah State. Shawna received her BS in psychology and has enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to their three children. She has loved studying and learning the gospel throughout her life and also enjoys biking, cooking, gardening, reading, and anything that includes time with her family. Mike is a research professor at the Utah Water Research Laboratory and in his spare time enjoys mountain biking, fishing, target shooting, fixing literally anything, and spending time with his family. Shawna is currently serving as the primary music leader in their ward and Mike as a gospel doctrine teacher. They are the proud grandparents of one beautiful granddaughter!
