Aaron D. Franklin is a professor of electrical and computer engineering and chemistry at Duke University. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a doctorate from Purdue University, both in electrical engineering. Prior to becoming a professor, he worked as a research scientist at IBM, studying nanotechnology. He is a frequent speaker and the author of The Spiritual Physics of Light: How We See, Feel, and Know Truth. He and his wife, Lianne Walters Franklin, are the parents of three children and reside in Cary, North Carolina.

Ryan was lucky enough to marry his soulmate 25 years ago. They have 4 amazing children Zoe, Simon, Ezra and Mimi. On Saturdays they go snowboarding and on Sundays they go to church. When it’s not winter Ryan usually does some skateboarding, wake surfing, and hiking, basically anything to help him not cry his way through summer while waiting for snowboarding to start up again. He loves the gospel and loves to spend time helping people in meaningful ways.
