If you haven't already seen, Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell's name is all over Twitter today, though he probably wasn't expecting all the attention.
When we think about the wonderful aspects of family life, we don't always picture the differences of opinions, inclinations, or behaviors between husbands and wives as strengths.
Let me make something clear from the get-go: I don’t think church is boring. At least, not usually. Admittedly, there are times when I am walking out of my meetings wishing for something more. Maybe I’ve already forgotten the subject of the Sunday School lesson or zoned out on that last sacrament meeting talk because Brother Wilson speaks so . . . very . . . slow.
The message of the young women’s activity was that labels are sometimes very harmful–but they don’t have to be. Others can be uplifted and inspired by kind words of encouragement and support. All people have a mission to fulfill in life, so look for the good in others!
What a powerful witness of angels in our lives from Catherine Keddington Arveseth.
I have enjoyed reading the conversion stories sent to you from members and missionaries around the world published in your weekly series. I would like to share one of my own missionary experiences. It occurred many years ago during my mission in the Baltimore, Maryland, area. My companion and I were getting ready to do some contacting one morning when we decided to first pray for guidance as to where we should start. After a short prayer we both felt impressed to go down a particular street. Upon looking at our area map and records, we noticed that the street in question had already been tracted out recently, so it didn't make much sense for us to go there again. However, we still felt impressed to go down this particular street, so we parked our car at one end of the street and started to knock doors. I can still remember that no one answered the first two doors. At the third house, the door opened after a few knocks. A young man in his mid- twenties answered the door.
I remember the first time I felt like I was in over my head. I had just graduated high school and the bishop of our congregation, or “ward,” had invited me in to his office during Church. As we chatted about my plans for college and other things, he asked if I would accept a “calling,” or in other words, a church assignment. I was expecting him to ask if I would be the ward chorister or something. But instead, he asked me if I would accept the assignment to be the teacher of a group of teenage girls, or “Young Women,” in our congregation.

LDS couple Scott and Ryceejo Shattuck recently created an a cappella mashup of Disney classics "Almost There" from The Princess and the Frog and "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" from The Lion King. Check it out.
Born in South Dakota, Brian Cummings grew up under the dual care of his parents and his grandmother, starting his career in radio as a teenager. Little did he know what the Lord had in store for him, as he went on to find the gospel, raise a family, and bring to life the voices of animated characters such as Chef Bouche (the stove) in Beauty and the Beast, Doofus in the original Duck Tales, and Papa Q. Bear in The Berenstain Bears.
I still remember the smell of the chapel as I sat down five years ago.
