LDS missionary Siosiua Andrew Taufa remembered as humble, valiant at funeral service
WEST VALLEY — Elder Siosiua Andrew Taufa, 20, was remembered Friday as a humble young man who was a valiant servant to the Lord. Elder Taufa had been serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Guatemala Retalhuleu Mission for 18 months. A tragic electrical accident took his life last week after he came in contact with a high-voltage wire while mending the roof of his apartment.

Church Creates 6 New Stakes, Calls 34 New Stake Presidents in July
The Church recently announced the creation of six new stakes in July: the Prague Czech Republic Stake, Saratoga Springs Utah Mount Saratoga Stake, Tarija Bolivia Tabladita Stake, Ikot Ekpene Nigeria Stake, Mesa Arizona Flatiron Stake, and the Sydney Australia Prairiewood Stake.
Mormon mission age drop not as significant as feared on Utah colleges and universities
The enrollment fallout at Utah colleges and universities from the age drop of LDS missionaries will not be as significant as originally feared. In January, the Utah System of Higher Education released a report projecting enrollment dips of between 2 percent and 10 percent at Utah's public schools after The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints changed the allowable age of missionary service from 19 to 18 for men and 21 to 19 for women.
