The First Presidency has called the following four new temple presidents and matrons. They will begin their service in November 2018.

With a renewed focus on Sabbath day observance, many wards and branches have instituted ways to improve their Sunday worship services. From devotionals to bishops' notes in the ward newsletter, the worldwide Church places a strong emphasis on keeping the Sabbath day holy.

Short of creating The Tower of King Benjamin or putting missionary name tags on the It’s a Small World dolls and having them sing “Called to Serve,” it’s hard to make Disneyland any more appealing to Mormons. With family-friendly stories, rides, and characters and a positive, clean-fun kind of atmosphere, it sounds a bit like a Latter-day Saint haven.

After Russia implimented a new anti-terrorism law that forbids public missionary work, the Church has decided to reassign some of the 77 missionaries called to serve in various missions around Russia due to the decreased need for missionaries in Russia.

A couple of years ago I wrote a column about Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the "South Park" guys, and their proposed Broadway-bound "Mormon Musical." Consider keeping extra packages or bottles of the condiments and add-ins that you normally use while you cook. When you have to dig into your food storage, you’ll still be able to make your favorite meals because you’ll have your favorite ingredients on hand (instead of going to the store with the crowds and settling for whatever’s left on the shelves).

On June 23, President Thomas S. Monson addressed all of the Church's new mission presidents at the MTC in Provo. Via a recorded message, he shared what it was like when he and Sister Monson were called to preside over the Church's Canadian Mission when they were both just 31 years old with two young children, soon to be three.
