A new temple president and matron have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service when the temple is dedicated.
Wendell Bradford Terry (known to his friends as Mike) and Beverly Ann Dodge married while Terry was on leave during his training to become a B-17 bomber pilot. Beverly and Wendell were allowed to live together during much of Lieutenant Terry's training, but when Wendell left for the European theater, Beverly moved back to Utah to be with her family.

I remember the night I first learned my parents were getting divorced as if it were yesterday. It was my final winter semester at BYU, and I was in the process of figuring out where I would end up for graduate school the next fall. The news about my parents was as devastating as it was surprising. In more ways than I can now describe, it was the night the whole world felt like it came crashing down on me. Of course, I had friends both inside and outside the Church whose parents were divorced; I just hadn’t ever imagined it could happen to my family.

Some excellent and uplifting, others a bit “blind-man-ish.” What do I mean? The first reader read the post and said “This feels a weak analogy.” (Asking a young man why he hasn’t submitted his mission papers in is the religious equivalent of asking a woman how much she weighs.)
