Harry L. Michael, born and raised on Beardy's Reservation, became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ after witnessing his parents and younger siblings' baptism when he was around 19. He retired after working with First Nation organizations, and with federal and provincial correctional systems. During his career, he helped create healing facilities and cultural programs for indigenous incarcerated offenders in the Criminal Justice system. In the Church, he has served as a member of the bishopric, branch presidency, and as a stake high councilor.
