Emily Cushing was raised in South Jordan, Utah, and met her husband in their middle school math class. Her love of learning led her to become a teacher. She earned a master’s degree in teaching and learning at Brigham Young University and has taught, among other places, in Tonga, Myrtle Beach, and England. She currently teaches in the Education Department at Utah Valley University. She enjoys reading, running, traveling, living in foreign places, and, above all, spending time with her family.
Joe Wilson was born in American Samoa, Alao and currently lives in Laie, Hawaii. He married Melissa Meyers in the Laie, Temple and has 5 wonderful children, Miyamoto, Teylon, Cedar, Liam, Leyton, and one grandson Iosefa. After receiving a Master's in MFT Joe worked in the Mental Health field for a few years and decided to get a Life and Health Broker Insurance license. Currently he is the first American Samoa Surf Team Coach and has an incredible team ready to compete in the upcoming Olympic Games. On Sunday Joe is teaching Sunday School and any other time he loves surfing and other water sports. He is the President of the Board Directors with Koolauloa Wellness Center and really enjoys serving the community and giving back.
Batchlor Johnson IV has a master’s degree in mass communications from BYU and a bachelors degree in economics from the University of Utah. Batchlor was raised in Houston, Texas, in a family of five. He has a strong love for his Savior and tries to live every day to the fullest because of it.
Beth is married to Rick and has five children, ages 16-23, and she is enjoying this interesting and exciting time of having older teenaged and young adult children. Beth has worked in Human Resources her entire career and currently works for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as the managing director of HR. Beth loves to read, go on walks with friends, and bake on the weekends.
Jenna Alton is a freelance writer and editor who lives in Utah County with her family. She graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University, where she studied journalism. Anna Bromley Andrews was raised in Michigan by a faithful artist mom and an agnostic professor father. Anna decided at a young age she was all in with the church. She graduated from BYU in English education with her dreamy husband, Keith, in 1994. She taught adult education for 10 years, authored an art education program for elementary students and now owns her own interior design firm. She is an enthusiastic mother of 7. In her increasingly diminishing spare time, Anna loves to read, write, sew, hike and travel.
Howard Collett is a storyteller for Book of Mormon Central. “Everyone has a story,” he says, “and I love to discover real-life experiences and bring them to life.” Howard has published 1,600 articles and hundreds of photos and videos in aviation, medicine, software, education, and religion in national and international magazines and websites. His capstone achievement was the documentation of lifesaving humanitarian aid for LDS Charities on four continents.
