Seven-year-old Claire Crosby has had some pretty neat experiences over the past four years since her performance of “Gethsemane” went viral and garnered over 14 million views on YouTube. Let’s be honest. Sometimes, in the LDS culture, us gals without kids feel like we’re on Survivor: Mommy Island, right? We compete in challenges like diaper changing, freezer cooking, arts and crafts, removing crayon from walls, getting 4 kids ready for church and still looking like a million bucks and other challenges that we are just not equipped to deal with. Often times, we inexplicably vote ourselves off the island because we just CAN’T compete. So, I’m here to offer a few survival tips that have worked for me.
Over the years many people have often wondered what kind of organization is the Inspirational Art Association? According to Cindy Latimore the organization's Director and Curator, the IAA which it is often referred, shares that its purpose is as stated in their mission statement: Our mission is to foster the creation and promotion of inspirational art, to showcase wholesome content, and to extend its influence to individuals, homes, and communities throughout the world. Over the years the IAA not only has brought inspiring artists together from around the world but also has extended its presence in the world of music. All art mediums and music are considered inspirational. Since 2010 when the IAA was first organized, it has grown to be a worldwide organization. The yearly summer photoshoots and the Christmas Season Art Showcase embodies exactly what the organization has held true to since the IAA’s beginning. In my capacity as the Director, I assist in promoting, networking, educating, and keeping this magnificent organization in the limelight to help not only the artists themselves but to share their stories. Not only is the artwork or song inspiring but the artist had to have inspiration prior to painting or producing their masterpieces that people hunger to know about.

But John Hilton, an author and associate professor of Ancient Scripture, believes that help for even the most current challenges can be found through the gospel of Jesus Christ and in the pages of scripture.
In a recent Facebook Live video, LDS Living had the opportunity to sit down with Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square director, Mack Wilberg, and assistant director, Ryan Murphy, and ask them some questions our readers have always wanted to know.
It’s that time of year: the leaves are changing, there’s a slight chill in the air, you haven’t put away the shorts just yet but you mean to and you’ll probably get to it soon. The phrase “chunky sweaters” is returning to your vocabulary, you are starting to stomach conversations about Halloween costumes with your eager children, and you notice “pumpkin spice” featured in every drink or dessert at every eatery. It’s happening. You can’t deny that school is just barely beginning and you’ve got time to adjust. It’s already here. IT’S HAPPENING.
