Peter Hollens, known for his fantastic acapella performances on YouTube, is no stranger to singing with Mormons. He frequently collaborates with LDS violinist Lindsey Stirling, and he appeared in the World's Largest Nativity with The Piano Guys and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Last week, he added another check mark to his LDS pedigree chart.

Missionaries in the Missouri Independence Mission put their talents and creative energies together to compile this music video and say "Merry Christmas" this holiday season. The video features James the Mormon's "Angels We Have Heard on High," clips from LDS Media, and the missionaries' own footage of doing good deeds in order to encourage others to #LightTheWorld with acts of service.

Many singles find challenges in their singles ward. They struggle to feel included within groups or cliques. Hanging out seems to occur more than dating. Even when dates do occur, the gossip or discomfort that follows can further discourage future dates and can even cause singles to want to leave the ward. The good news is, there are many techniques that can help singles make the most of their singles ward and can even help them find a mate.

Sometimes my husband teases me about living in the past. OK, I admit that I still listen to the radio station that plays hits from the 1960s and ’70s — because that’s the era when I grew up, and those songs remind me of special people and experiences. I loved attending school and still stay in touch with friends that date clear back to junior high (thanks to Facebook). I fondly remember all the amazing opportunities that came my way at work and often reflect on some of the stories I did and people I met who changed my life. I miss being in the mission field in Georgia — the place, the people and the missionaries will always be on my mind and in my heart. And, now that our house is quiet, I often wistfully look back at the time when I was a younger mom — raising our four children and wishing I could go back to “the good old days” of early morning piano practicing, car pools, soccer and lacrosse games, recitals, plays and choir concerts.
