Sharon Lee Staples is a convert to the Church. Soon after joining the Church, Sharon decided to serve at the Andes Peru Mission. After her mission, Sharon earned a degree in sociology and received a PhD in educational psychology. Currently, Sharon is a retired college professor. She has served in many Church positions including temple worker, nursery leader, as a member of the Young Women General Board, a teacher at the women’s prison, and a docent at the Church History Museum and Family History centers. She enjoys woodworking and gardening.
