In a recent assignment to South Korea, Elder David A. Bednar and his wife, Susan, reunited with two youth who greeted them when they visited eight years earlier. The official Church Instagram page shared a photo with the following caption by Elder Bednar:
Every month, thousands of Latter-day Saints walk nervously to the pulpits of their churches, their palms sweating as they stumble through an introductory comment about why they felt the need to stand up and talk to their fellow ward members. After establishing their reasons for putting themselves in such a spotlight, they usually proceed to say things along the lines of, “I know the Church is true”, “I know X, Y, and Z”, and the much-loved classics, “I know without a shadow of a doubt/with every fiber of my being…”
"I know people who come to church every Sunday so that they can be inspired and uplifted and who just simply walk away feeling judged and unloved—unneeded, like there is no place for them at church," Sister Carol F. McConkie, first counselor in the Young Women general presidency, says at the start of a powerful Church video released as part of a series designed to reach those who feel they don't belong at Church.
The Spark Singers, including Noelle Bybee, who is a former contestant on NBC's The Voice, released a new music video, "Wonder," in response to President Russell M Nelson's challenge in a recent Worldwide Youth Devotional to "stand out; be different from the world. You and I know that you are to be a light to the world."
Mark DeMoss has a message for his fellow evangelicals: You can’t attack and demean Mormons or President Barack Obama and still consider yourself a follower of Jesus Christ. It is impossible to abide by Paul’s admonition to regard others as more important than yourself, DeMoss said Tuesday during a Brigham Young University devotional, "and also stand outside [LDS] General Conference hurling insults as [Mormons] walk by to worship with [their] fellow Latter-day Saints."
I don't think I will ever hear the word "privileges" again without thinking of the story by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf about the man who signed up for a cruise, and in an effort to save his money for the various ports the ship would be stopping at, he packed in his suitcase some beans and crackers and powdered lemonade so that he would not have to spend his money on food while he was on board. When the ship was at sea, he stayed in his cabin nibbling on beans and crackers and drinking his powdered lemonade. On the final night he learned that ALL the food, amenities, entertainment, pool, etc., was included in the price of the cruise!
Christmas is a time for families and for reflecting on the birth of Jesus Christ, Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said during the BYU Management Society Salt Lake Chapter's Christmas luncheon Wednesday, held in a ballroom at the Little America Hotel. "We live in a Christian nation, and this season of the year has most of us turning to the New Testament to read the real story of the mortal mission of our Lord and Savior," he said. "It is the season to celebrate his birth."
Some people, hearing that Utah Sen. Bob Bennett had written a book on the Book of Mormon, suspected that it was a politically motivated attempt to curry favor with Utah's Mormon voters. Having read the manuscript well before it was published, long before the senator's renomination seemed in jeopardy, I knew that it wasn't. It was plainly the product of sustained, careful reflection, not a hasty political ploy.

The largest category here––classics––is at the bottom and does not have explanations, since most people are familiar with the movies. And please add any of your favorites that I've missed in the comments below!
