Answers to prayer usually come in quiet ways to mortals through the mediation of the Holy Spirit and through the intervention of other mortals. There are times, however, when God chooses to do the unusual—to give visions or dreams, to send angels from the courts of glory, in short, to minister to our needs in truly spectacular ways. Nephi explained that on certain occasions God “hath heard my cry by day, and he hath given me knowledge by visions in the nighttime. Later, in 1970, the First Presidency officially changed this request to the weekly Monday night we are now familiar with.
What has been the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from the youth of the Church?

I was so overwhelmed with work, school, family and church responsibilities that I felt almost numb. It had been six months since I had returned from a mission and the weight of adjusting home still felt heavy.
It was 10 minutes past the time James Curran and his missionary companion were supposed to be home, but they were still out knocking on doors.
Let’s be honest. Not all Sunday School lessons are created equal. Some are thought-provoking and stay with us for weeks, and some leave us feeling unsatisfied.
