A native Virginian, Molly converted to the church her senior year of high school. She met her sweetheart while she was a foreign exchange student through Virginia Tech and he was a missionary in Malta. They reconnected after she transferred to BYU have now been married for almost 27 years. She has four children, and spent many years as a stay at home mom before, becoming an elementary music and later 5th grade teacher. She currently works on the Children and Youth team in the Priesthood and Family Department as a project coordinator for a variety of assignments including the Worldwide Broadcast events and Scriptures Media. She loves good books, movies, music, dancing, playing the piano, singing, and the dramatic arts. She fervently believes in bringing back naptime for the world at large and survives these days through the comfort of coke zero, and knowing that when God gives us a calling he has already factored in our stupidity.
Rachel Rhien Tucker is a wife and mom of four living in Southern CA. She is an insatiable learner and is most in her element when she is teaching or writing about the gospel. Rachel is a faith-based life coach and loves helping people understand their divine identity and connect with the Savior. Rachel has been a speaker at BYU Women’s Conference and writes a daily devotional on her Instagram account, @seeking_diligently.
Nicole Beal grew up in Utah County and now lives in Cumming, Georgia. She attended Utah Valley University. She loves to write, from poems and stories to potential books. She has a beautiful family with a loving husband, two sons, and a new daughter-in-law. Along with writing, she enjoys being with and teaching the youth of the Church, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
Stephan Taeger is a professor of ancient scripture at BYU. His research focuses on homiletics (the study of preaching), narrative instruction, and ancient scripture. He also loves interfaith dialogue. He and his wife, Kirsten, have six children. Stephan loves reading, writing, nature, and music.
Jen is a widowed mom to four fantastic kids who keep her going and bring her tremendous joy. She works two jobs to stay afloat but mostly looks forward to reading, watching movies and snuggling. She loves taking trips with her kids and claims that anywhere with water is her happy place.
Steve Abaroa grew up in San Diego, California. He served his mission in the Indiana, Indianapolis mission before attending BYU where he met the love of his life, DeeDee. He taught high school English, Journalism and Theater in Gilbert, AZ for 37 years and is the proud papa of four boys. He currently serves in two of his favorite callings: the Gospel Doctrine teacher and one of the artistic directors of the Mesa Temple Easter Pageant. His and DeeDee’s love language is traveling. They’ve logged many many miles and memories both pre and post retirement.
Stacey Shaw is married and has four kids. Each completely individual, and yet equally amazing in their own ways… making life a constant adventure! Stacey received her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Elementary Education. She loves music of all kinds and an impromptu dance party is her favorite! Stacey enjoys “diving deep” on any topic, especially when discussing the Gospel. She knows that the stronger our foundation is, the brighter our understanding of the world and our Heavenly Father’s plan becomes.
DeeDee Abaroa is a native of northeast Arizona (her pioneer stock clearly got the short end of the ‘Mormon Migration Straw’) but grew up in Provo, Utah. After graduating from BYU she taught elementary school for 35 years in Payson, Utah and then Gilbert, Arizona. She adores her four boys and cherishes her 8 grandchildren. She loves meeting her global brothers and sisters in their world travels. She especially adores her “Stevie Wonder” who feeds her and takes care of her every wish and need.
Shiegrid Hernandez is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico. She has worked for Deseret Employment for the last 7 years and now works at BYU. She has two daughters who keep her in her feet and loves spending time with them.
