John Fossum spent his formative teenage years in Georgia, where he learned from firsthand experience the importance of building one’s life upon the Rock of Jesus Christ. He is the author of Spiritual Foundations, a book designed to help people deepen and strengthen their connection to God. After returning home from a mission to the Philippines, John attended college to study English and met his wife, Sarah, in the first English class he signed up for—poetry. John and Sarah are the parents of five children and the grandparents to one grandchild. John has spent his professional career as a religious educator for the Church Educational System in various capacities. He is an optimist, a living witness of God’s goodness and grace, and believes that all will work out in the end.
Jo Ann Skousen is a professor of English literature at Chapman University and the author of Matriarchs of the Messiah: Valiant Women in the Lineage of Jesus Christ and has spoken numerous times at BYU Education Days. She is a member of the Peters Canyon Ward in the California Orange Stake.
Gena Mabee was raised in San Jose, California, the oldest of five children. She earned a BA in Communications Studies from and was an admissions counselor for Brigham Young University Provo. Her career has included all things communicating, including but not limited to: direct sales and leadership, high school academic advisement, life insurance and securities producing, full time homemaking/parenting, and corporate communications training. She’s been a guest and keynote speaker in Arizona, California, Oregon, Hawaii, Utah and Hong Kong.
Jenedy Paige was born with two God-given gifts: she’s an early riser and she’s consistent. She’s used her natural abilities to become a professional oil painter and an American Ninja Warrior athlete. She believes we all have a divine spark that really does make us capable of achieving anything as long as we’re willing to work really really hard for it. She is the biggest fan of her alma-mater, BYU-Idaho, and credits herself as the “product of a great art education.” She is a wife, a mother, a teacher, a runner, and her mom says she struggles with being able to relax. When she’s not in her studio or the gym, she loves to be in her kitchen, creating delicious healthy food for her family. She thanks God every day for carefully leading her down a path she could have never imagined for herself.
Haley was the production editor for LDS Living with a passion for writing and social media. Previously, she worked at Boncom where she assisted with influencer and social media marketing and social media for Church campaigns like “Light the World” and “Because of Him.” You can often find Haley traveling with her husband, Mike, and snuggling her two kids, Calvin and Charlotte.
Chanté Sinclair Stutznegger is the co-founder of Sinclair Consulting Group and Instagram's Let’s Talk Sis. She is also the cohost, alongside her sister Alexis, of The Let’s Talk Sis Podcast, where they engage in real conversations about race, diversity, and human connection.
Janice Kapp Perry was born in Ogden, Utah, and currently lives in Provo, Utah. She and her husband Douglas Perry (deceased July 2018) have 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. They also had numerous foster children in their home through the years. Janice received her formal musical training at Brigham Young University where she played percussion instruments in the Concert Band and Orchestra.
BJ when grew up in Centerville, Utah and then served a mission in Detroit, Michigan. Angie grew up in Farmington, Utah. They met and married while attending BYU. Since then they've had six kids and moved 11 times, with stops both in Utah and all across the midwestern United States for BJ's various jobs and schooling. Angie has a degree in Special Education and BJ has a PhD in Marketing. He teaches at BYU and loves attending sporting events there, and she is the CEO at home. Both BJ and Angie love Jesus Christ and His Gospel with all their hearts. Personal hobbies and interests often feel like something that existed in another life, but when they have a spare moment of time they're usually too tired to do anything more than sit next to each other and hold hands.
