Heidi was raised in Salt Lake City (go East High!), has earned five college degrees (definitely a pretentious stat), and is currently a professor of counseling psychology at BYU. Among her various callings in the Church, she has served as Stake and Ward Relief Society President, Primary Music Leader, and Primary Pianist (which she thinks is honestly the best calling ever). She currently serves as Young Women President in her ward and loves making monthly trips to the temple with the youth. Dr. Ben Schilaty is a social work professor at Utah Valley University. He also works part-time as a therapist specializing in working with LGBTQ Latter-day Saints and their families. He holds three degrees from Brigham Young University: a bachelor's degree in Latin American studies, a master's in Hispanic linguistics and a master's in Social Work; he also earned a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona. Ben learned Spanish and Portuguese during his mission in Chihuahua, Mexico, and when he lived in Bolivia, Peru and, Portugal. He taught Spanish for a decade at the middle school, high school and college level. Ben is the award-winning author of A Walk In My Shoes: Questions I am Often Asked as a Gay Latter Day Saint and cohosts the podcast “All Out in the Open.”
Camille Marsh was born in Alberta, Canada, and grew up in Bountiful, Utah. She graduated from BYU with a degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development and loves being a wife and mother of four awesome kids. She currently teaches seminary at Corner Canyon High School and loves learning and teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ! Teenagers are her favorite! She lives in Draper, Utah, where she enjoys running, cycling, good books, and chocolate chip cookies.
Su Jones is an enthusiastic teacher who loves sharing her faith in Jesus Christ and His gospel. She has presented at BYU Women’s Conference and values opportunities to encourage faith and devoted discipleship. She is the mother of four children and grandmother of five and considers her family her greatest blessing. Stephanie lives in Idaho Falls with her engineer husband and three teenage boys. Before focusing on momming and writing, she worked as an RN. She’s got an English degree from BYU, several publications—including short stories and essays—and a head full of ideas. When she’s not busy reading, writing, or heading up writing groups, she helps mentor a robotics team, works on martial arts, and enjoys boating with her family.
Kimi lives in Bountiful, Utah with her husband, Bob, who is kind and funny, can do all the things, and is everybody’s favorite. She enjoys hiking, movies, audiobooks, and girl trips. She loves people, and has many beloved friends from all walks of life and of all ages. She also loves copyediting, and in 2021, she proudly earned her English degree from Utah State University at the age of 52.
Ben Spackman has a MA in Old Testament languages and literature, and a PhD in American Religious History. His scholarship focuses on the ancient contexts of scripture— especially Genesis— and the modern contexts influencing our interpretations of scripture. He lives with his wife Christy, a professor of Science and Technology Studies, and together they love to cook, travel, bike, and run.
