By age 22, Todd Sylvester felt like he hit rock bottom. In the grasp of an eight-year drug addiction, he lost his college basketball scholarship and everything else he had ever earned. He decided to take his own life. However, this was only the beginning of Todd's incredible story, as shown in the viral Mormon Message, "The Hope of God's Light."
In my chosen hobby, good sources are a valuable treasure. In that regard I have been fortunate. While researching Tennessee LDS history, I have run across several really good missionary journals. But I have also run across several abysmal ones. They have been so bad, that I have reflected on my missionary journal and just how much better I could have made it. I wish I had been given some examples of what good journal writing was before I ever started my mission. I can't go back and do it over. Anything I write today would be a recollection, not a journal. It isn't the same.
Despite the fact that I’ve spent several years reading and writing about motherhood, I still have a lot of bad mom days. I have acted and spoken in ways that do not make me proud. I apologize and try to do better, but still. Some moms hate Mother’s Day because they feel like it’s a reminder of everything they’re supposed to be and they simply don’t measure up. I don’t see glowing examples in my recent mothering that are worthy of celebration.
I believe with all my heart that finding our self-love begins with forgetting our self-focus.

It's a bad idea to propose to Daisy Duck in front of Donald Duck, and Latter-day Saint Brandon Galli found out why, as seen in a hilarious video.
You've waited more than three long months for it, and now, season two of This Is the Gospel is almost here!
The night my brother overdosed on heroin is one I’ll never forget. I can still recall every detail: the thud of his body hitting the floor, my parents’ yells, the terror, the confusion, and the hopelessness that sank in when I realized we were back to square one with his seemingly never-ending battle with addiction.
Collapsing on the floor in his youngest son’s room after another exhausting day, Jacob Evans was at a loss. For months he had been trying to balance the responsibilities of being both father and mother, provider and caretaker while bearing the weight of comforting his six children amidst all the challenges their family faced.
In my childhood, everything wasn’t bliss in our ward Primary, for boys will be boys. The laughter of the boys and the chatter of the girls at times must have been most disconcerting to our Primary leaders.
