Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have one year of Come, Follow Me under their belts but if you’re like us, you’re still looking for ways to enhance your study and to make this year of studying the Book of Mormon even better. This is where we would like to help. Drumroll please…Introducing the Sunday on Monday Study Group, a Bookshelf Plus Original podcast presented by LDS Living that is uniquely designed to allow listeners to experience the conversation all at once or in segments throughout the week. Host Tamara “Tammy” Uzelac Hall will bring a different group of friends together, each with unique life experiences, to dig into the scriptures. And the best part is that after you listen, you’ll be able to join in the discussion via the Sunday on Monday Instagram account and Facebook group.

Broken up into six 8-10-minute segments that are correlated to follow along with the Come, Follow Me curriculum, the podcast episodes will be available in full weekly on Bookshelf Plus. Want to hear what the podcast is like before going all in? You can listen to segment one of the podcast, as well as view full show notes and transcripts, for free each Monday by visiting LDSLiving.com/SundayonMonday. Bookshelf Plus is also offering new listeners a 30-day free trial, so you can see how Sunday on Monday will enhance your personal study before you subscribe.

A lifelong student of the Hebrew language, Hall combines deep gospel insights with real-life application of the scriptures, and her unique life experiences make her relatable regardless of your life situation. You will find that, as is true of many of us, in a life of twists and turns, the gospel has remained the constant in Hall’s life. Raised in Missouri and Utah, Hall dreamt of becoming a wife and mother but the Lord had other plans. Instead, she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Brigham Young University, served a mission in Fresno, California and became a social worker, until God steered her life in a completely different direction when she became a full-time Seminary and Institute Teacher. After buying a house and settling nicely into a family ward, she was set up on (another) blind date with a widower, which miraculously worked and catapulted her into married life and an insta-mom to two little girls. Currently, she and her husband are the parents to four girls and live in Utah. She is a host for Time Out for Women and has been a speaker at BYU Women’s Conference. A good flash mob makes her cry, she is a (self-proclaimed) Champion Oreo eater, and she believes that cheese is God’s way of saying “Hey, everything is going to be okay.”

A pilot episode of Sunday on Monday was released in October and received over 98 reviews, with an average rating of 5-stars. Here’s what people are already saying about Sunday on Monday:

  • “I loved this discussion so much!! I felt like I was around my friends, the ones who are well versed in the scriptures and light a fire under me when we have discussions about the gospel. I loved their authenticity and vulnerability and Tamara did an incredible job getting through a lot of content in a way that was informative and incredibly interesting. I can’t wait for the next episode!!”
  • “I’m a busy mom of six. While listening to your podcast I imagined I was in the room with you as friends discussing the scriptures and trying together to understand them better . This is what I’m craving but at this time in my life it’s difficult to find extra time to meet up with any friends. I found your podcast enlightening and easy for me to grasp. Thank you for brightening my day and week.”
  • “I have always wanted to be able to join a study group but I have some pretty serious social anxiety that makes me dread conversations with others. This is the perfect way for me to get in-depth study and reach beyond my own brain without actually having to reach. Thank you very much. Keep them coming!”
