Experience the timeless Christmas classic that has captivated audiences worldwide. From one of the most prolific songwriters and storytellers of our time, Michael McLean’s The Forgotten Carols live tour is back on stage with an unforgettable story and songs that are a Christmas tradition for families everywhere. This spectacular live stage show is touring this year through Utah, Idaho and Arizona. Tickets are available now but selling quickly at https://forgottencarols.com/shows/ so hurry!
The Forgotten Carols stage performance tells the story of Connie Lou, a nurse whose empty life is changed when Uncle John, a new patient she is attending, recounts the story of Christ’s birth as told by little-known characters in the nativity story. The accounts from the Innkeeper, the Shepherd, and others help the nurse discover what the world has forgotten about Christmas, ultimately encouraging her to open her heart to the joy of this special season.
Each year there have been special additions, surprises, and production values added to the show that has enhanced the spirit of the songs and the emotional impact of the story. In 2019, the story and songs were completely RE-IMAGINED on stage in ways that so resonated, not only with our audience members who come every year as part of their Christmas Holiday tradition but also with people who were experiencing THE FORGOTTEN CAROLS for the first time.
If you’re wondering what will be special, unique and different about THE FORGOTTEN CAROLS this year…trust us when we say it will still be magical. We have Michael Young returning to play the role of Uncle John. And, for the first time, in 30 years, Michael McLean will not be acting on stage. And while it makes us very sad not to have McLean there, we are so grateful he has trusted us to carry on this beautiful legacy. Michael would say, “Every year something changes in the show but what hasn’t changed is the love I have for this tradition, this story, these songs, and sharing that love with you during this most important season. A season when we remember this - He who came to claim us for all eternity has not forgotten those who need His healing charity. And though the number’s greater than the sands upon the seas, He has not forgotten you, He’s not forgotten me.
Merry Christmas!
